Eligibility Criteria

1. Age Limit (as on 23.11.2026)

  • Age Range: 18 to 27 years.

  • Age Relaxation: Applicable for reserved categories and sportspersons as per DoPT guidelines (up to 5 years for UR/OBC, and 10 years for SC/ST sportspersons).

2. Educational & Skill Qualifications

  • Tax Assistant:

    • Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university.

    • Data Entry Speed of 8,000 key depressions per hour.

  • Havaldar:

    • Matriculation (10th Pass) or equivalent from a recognized board.

    • Must pass mandatory Physical Standards and Physical Efficiency Test (PET).

3. Physical Standards & PET (For Havaldar Post)

  • Male Candidates: Height – 157.5 cm; Chest – 81 cm (5 cm expansion); Walking – 1,600 meters in 15 minutes.

  • Female Candidates: Height – 152 cm; Weight – 48 kg; Walking – 1 km in 20 minutes.

4. Sports Criteria

  • Applicants must have represented the Country, State, University, or Schools in National/International/Inter-University level tournaments in the eligible sports disciplines listed under the relevant DoPT Office Memorandum.

  • Form-1 to Form-5 (issued by competent authorities) must be submitted as evidence of sports merit.

Selection Process

  1. Scrutiny of Applications: Initial evaluation and shortlisting based on sports qualification and achievements.

  2. Skill / Physical Test:

    • Data Entry Speed Test for Tax Assistant candidates.

    • Physical Standards & Efficiency Test for Havaldar candidates.

  3. Document Verification & Medical Examination.

  1. Download the prescribed application proforma (Annexure-A) from cbic.gov.in or ccolkozone.gov.in.

  2. Fill in all personal, educational, and sports details carefully in block letters.

  3. Affix a recent passport-sized photograph and enclose self-attested copies of:

    • Proof of Age (10th standard certificate)

    • Educational Qualification certificates

    • Relevant Sports Certificates (Forms 1 to 5)

    • Category / Caste Certificate (if applicable)
