Pune District Central Cooperative Bank Ltd. (PDCC Bank), Pune has released the PDCC Bank Shipai Recruitment 2026 notification for the recruitment of Shipai (Peon) posts. The recruitment drive aims to fill 289 Shipai vacancies through Direct Service Recruitment (Saralseva Bharti). Candidates who are original residents of Pune district and have passed H.S.C. (12th) or equivalent diploma can apply online for these posts. Qualification

The candidate must have passed at least the Higher Secondary School Certificate examination (H.S.C. - 12th) or an equivalent diploma.

Age Limit

Minimum 18 years to maximum 38 years, reckoned as on 01-08-2026. For candidates already appointed on a contract basis in various agencies/organizations under the bank, who have a minimum of 3 years' work experience as on 01-08-2026, the upper age limit is relaxed up to 43 years.

Domicile Requirement

The candidate must be an original resident of Pune district for at least the last 15 years, supported by a valid Domicile Certificate issued after 2018 by a competent authority. 100% of posts will be filled on a priority basis from candidates who are original residents of Pune district. Married women candidates who are original residents outside Pune district may also apply if they submit their husband's original Pune district domicile certificate along with a marriage registration certificate from a competent authority.

Candidates must also be physically fit for the physical movement-related duties of the Shipai post, and must submit a declaration under the Maharashtra Civil Services Rules, 2005 (small family declaration).

The exam fee is Rs.1,650/- plus 18% GST and service charge. This fee is non-refundable under any circumstances and cannot be carried forward or reserved for any other exam or selection. Selected eligible candidates will be appointed on a temporary probationary basis for 6 months. During this probation period, candidates will be paid a consolidated salary of Rs.12,000/- per month. After confirmation, the applicable pay scale is:

Offline Written Exam

The written exam carries 70 marks and is conducted offline using the OMR (Optical Mark Recognition) method. The question paper is objective and multiple-choice, in Marathi medium, with 70 questions of 1 mark each, to be completed in 75 minutes. The subject-wise mark distribution is as follows:

Document Verification

Based on merit in the written exam, candidates eligible for interview will be shortlisted in a ratio of 1:3 against the vacant posts (the shortlist is published seat-number wise, not marks-wise, on the bank's website). Eligible candidates' original certificates for the required educational qualification and other eligibility criteria will be preliminarily verified by bank officials before the interview; original documents must be produced at this stage.

Interview

Candidates found eligible in document verification will be called for an interview carrying 30 marks. The interview assesses the candidate's personality, physical capability, communication skills, basic knowledge of the bank, local knowledge of Pune district, service attitude, and the fundamental principles and etiquette of cooperation. Candidates absent for the interview will be disqualified from final selection.

Final Selection List and Waiting List

The candidate's written exam marks and interview marks are added together out of a total of 100 marks, and the final result is declared in merit order. A waiting list is prepared at 20% of the vacant posts and remains valid for one year from the date the final selection list is declared. In case of a tie in marks, priority is given first by age seniority, then by experience, then alphabetically by surname (in English).
