Sports Authority of India (SAI) has released the recruitment notification Advt No. A-12/8/2026-66 dated October 26, 2026, inviting online applications for 17 posts of High Performance Coach.

Eligibility Criteria

• Maximum Age Limit: 64 years as on the opening date of applications (October 30, 2026).

• Service Eligibility: Retired officers from Central/State Governments/UT Administrations who held an analogous post or served for at least 5 years in Level-12 (₹78,800 – ₹2,09,200).

• Qualifications (Any of the following):

  • Diploma in Coaching from SAI NS NIS Patiala or equivalent institution.

  • Participation in Olympics / Paralympics / Asian Games / World Championship with a valid Coaching Certificate course.

  • Recipient of the Dronacharya Award.

• Desirable Experience: Minimum 5 years of coaching experience in relevant sports disciplines.

Selection Process

1. Shortlisting: Applications will be screened and shortlisted based on relevant coaching experience and job description criteria.

2. Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview conducted by the Selection Board.

Documents Required for Application

• Aadhaar Card / Class 10th / Class 12th Marksheet.

• Scanned Passport Size Photograph and Signature.

• Coaching Diplomas, Qualification, and Experience Certificates.

• Pension Pay Order (PPO) and Latest Last Pay Drawn Certificate.

• No Objection Certificate (NOC) from present employer (if currently working in Govt./Autonomous organizations).
